How to Access Softaculous WordPress Manager in cPanel
Softaculous WordPress Manager was previously accessible from the left-hand side menu in cPanel. However, with the introduction of WP Toolkit, this shortcut has been removed. WP Toolkit provides a more reliable and feature-rich experience, offering key benefits such as:
- Vulnerability Scanning – Helps keep your WordPress installation secure with automatic scanning of your WordPress instances for vulnerabilities, including all plugins and themes.
- Reliable Staging – Easily create staging environments to test changes before applying them to your live site, ensuring a seamless experience without downtime.
- Smart Updates – WP Toolkit can intelligently handle updates by testing them first to prevent potential site breakages, offering a safer approach to maintaining WordPress. Updates can be automated to help ensure your site is always running on a secure codebase.
- Bulk Management – If you have more than one WordPress website, you can manage multiple WordPress installations effortlessly with features like bulk updates and plugin management.
- One-Click Hardening – Quickly apply security best practices with a single click, reducing the risk of hacks and vulnerabilities.
- User-Friendly Interface – A centralised, intuitive dashboard that simplifies site management, making it easier and more efficient compared to Softaculous.

For these reasons, we strongly recommend using WP Toolkit as the best tool to manage WordPress installations. However, if you prefer to continue using Softaculous for WordPress management, you can still access it within cPanel by following these steps:
Accessing Softaculous WordPress Manager
- Log in to cPanel
- Scroll down to the Software section
- Click on Softaculous Apps Installer
- Navigate to the Installations tab
- Click on the WordPress Icon at the top
This will take you directly into the Softaculous WordPress Manager, where you can continue managing your WordPress sites in the previous way.
