You can help limit the spam messages you receive using the SpamExperts interface in cPanel. This can be done by either blocking the email address or by submitting the email to our the training system.
This article will explain how to submit email to our training system.
There are two ways to submit email messages to our training sytem:
1.) Log into cPanel.
2.) Click on the 'SpamExperts' icon found in the Mail Section.
3.) Click the 'Report Spam' icon.
Please note that you will need to save the email message to your computer first. You will then be able to upload the saved file on the Report Spam page.
If you want to use our IMAP quarantine & training system in your mail client, you have to configure this in addition to your existing email account. There are two ways to use this feature, as a Domain user or as a email user.
A Domain User has access to the quarantine section for the entire domain, while an email user has access to only that specific email account. If you wish to use Domain User access, you will need to open a Support ticket so that we can provide you with the proper access. If you wish to use this as an email user you will first need to set one up:
1) Log into cPanel.
2) Click on the 'SpamExperts' icon.
3) Click on the 'Manage email users' icon.
4) Click the 'Add' link.
5) Enter the email address you wish to enter along with a password. Make sure the Status is set to 'active'.
6) Click the 'save' button.
You will see the following message:
Repeat this for each additional email user you wish to create.
Next you will need to configure your email client. This must be setup as an IMAP account.
The settings to use are:
Incoming Server: quarantine.filteredmx.net
Incoming port: 143
SSL - not enabled
Username - email user created in step 5 above
Password - password for user created
