We understand that your hosting needs can evolve over time. Whether you’re looking to upgrade for better performance, downgrade to a more cost-effective plan, or make other changes, we’re here to help.
Committing for longer can be a great way to save—our longer-term plans come with built-in discounts, so if you’re happy with your service and want to lock in a better rate, switching to an annual or multi-year plan makes a lot of sense.
On the other hand, if you’d prefer to keep things more flexible, you can switch to a shorter billing cycle instead.
Whatever works best for you, we can adjust your billing cycle. Just reply to your invoice email or open a billing ticket, and we’ll sort it out.
If your website is growing and you need more resources, upgrading is a seamless process.
If you upgrade partway through your current billing cycle—whether monthly, yearly, or longer—our system will automatically calculate the difference between your current plan and the upgraded plan for the remaining time in the cycle. You'll only pay the pro-rata amount for the upgrade, and when your next renewal date arrives, you’ll be charged the full amount for the new plan going forward.
Head over to MyKualo and log in.
Click "My Services" to see your active services.
Click the dropdown on "View Details" for the service you want to upgrade.
Upgrading a VPS or dedicated server requires a tailored approach. The best way to proceed is to open a sales ticket with our sales team so we can understand your needs and recommend the right solution.
For VPS upgrades, CPU, RAM, and disk space can usually be upgraded independently based on your requirements. However, a server reboot will be required, which typically takes 5-10 minutes. We can schedule this reboot to take place out of hours for minimal disruption. Some upgrades may also require licensing changes, as some software is licensed based on the resources allocated to the VPS.
Dedicated server upgrades depend on the specific hardware in use. We can often provide larger hard drives and additional RAM, but in some cases, it may make more sense to provision a new server and migrate your data. Consulting with us first allows us to assess your needs and recommend the best approach.
Why open a ticket?
If you’re looking to reduce your hosting plan or switch to a different service that better fits your needs, we recommend opening a sales ticket.
Why open a ticket?
We get it—sometimes things don’t go as planned. But before you go, why not talk to us first?
We’re not just a place to park your website—we offer security, performance tuning, expert advice, and a support team that actually cares. We may be able to solve your problem or help set you in the right direction. Sometimes a quick chat can fix the issue without needing to cancel.
If you would definitely like to cancel, here's how its done:
Head over to MyKualo and log in.
Click "My Services" to see your active services.
Click the dropdown on "View Details" for the service you want to cancel.
If you have feedback, we’d love to hear it!
Once a service has been cancelled, we’ll send you a confirmation email to acknowledge that your cancellation is fully processed.
🔴 Still receiving invoices or payment reminders? That means your service is still active.
We don’t assume you want to cancel just because a payment hasn’t been made. If an invoice remains unpaid, your service will stay active until you formally request cancellation, and fees may still apply for any billing period that has already started.
📌 Cancellation must be in writing—we can’t process cancellations over the phone, as we need a written record. But don’t worry, you can cancel easily online via your MyKualo account.
Well, at first, nothing happens. Then, after 10 days, your service gets suspended. We don’t love doing this, but let’s be real—if we’re not being paid, we can’t keep providing the service indefinitely.
🔔 You’ll get several email reminders before this happens—so no surprises. And if your service does get suspended, paying the invoice will usually get things back up and running straight away.
📌 What if I still don’t pay? Continued non-payment will eventually lead to termination. Once this happens:
❌ Your data is removed from the server.
🗂️ We may still have a backup, but this isn’t guaranteed. If a restore is possible, it can take a while, and you’ll need to contact us.
💰 If an invoice remains unpaid and a cancellation request wasn’t submitted, there may still be an outstanding balance. We’d much rather work something out—just get in touch!
💡 Bottom line: If you don’t need your service anymore, cancel before renewal or contact us so we can advise on any final amounts owed—it keeps things smooth for everyone. If you’re having payment issues, just talk to us! We’re happy to help.
If your renewal hasn’t gone through yet (and you’re not on a VPS or dedicated server), you can cancel anytime before your service due date—no charges, no worries.
If your due date has passed and we’re chasing an unpaid invoice for a service you no longer need, you may still need to pay for one month of service.
Why?
Because by that point, we’ve already:
✅ Allocated resources for your service
✅ Kept your website online
✅ Covered infrastructure or licensing costs on our end
💡 We issue invoices 15 days before renewal, giving you plenty of time to review them. These emails also include the date we’ll attempt payment—so if you don’t need the service anymore, let us know before that date.
If you’re invoiced for a longer-term prepayment, such as a year or more, and you didn’t cancel before the service period started, you won’t be required to pay for the entire term.
Instead, we can convert your billing cycle to month-to-month, and you’ll only need to cover the cost for the period that has just started. This means you’re not locked into the full-term commitment.
Once an invoice has been issued for your renewal, you won’t be able to upgrade the service yourself. We’ll need to process the change manually.
💡 If you need to upgrade or downgrade but have already been invoiced, open a support ticket, and we’ll assist with adjusting your billing. Depending on the change, we may issue a new invoice, apply a pro-rata adjustment, or convert your billing cycle as needed.
Domains don’t cancel like hosting plans. Instead, you’ll want to turn off auto-renewal so they don’t renew when they expire. That way, when the expiry date rolls around, it simply lapses. Easy!
