Zimbra Desktop is a full featured desktop mail client that includes all the great features found in the webmail client, including Email, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Sharing and Collaboration, Documents and Zimlets. Zimbra Desktop can be used on Windows, Apple Mac and Linux computers. First, download and install Zimbra Desktop from http://www.zimbra.com/desktop.
You will need the following details to configure Zimbra Desktop:
Account Name: Your Name
Email Address: Your full email address and mailbox password provided to you when you subscribed to the service. These details are same as you would use to login to webmail.
Incoming Server: webmail.kualo.com (Port 80 if Security is set to ‘none’, otherwise Port 443)

Syncronisation Settings: Set this to your preference
If you’re subscribed to the Professional plan or higher, please skip to the next section.
To configure all other mail clients for email only, we recommend you configure your computer or device to use IMAP rather than POP3. When used with IMAP, all emails are stored centrally in your mailbox on the email server - any changes you make to an email (e.g. read status, delete) are replicated across all other devices ensuring everything stays in sync. You will need the following details to configure your computer for IMAP:
IMAP Incoming Mail Server: webmail.kualo.com - port 993 - SSL must be enabled
Outgoing Mail Server smtp.protectedservice.net - port 587 - SMTP authentication must be enabled
Use the email address and password that were assigned to the email account.
If you're on the Professional plan or higher, your account comes with full Exchange interoperability. To connect to the server, add the email account in your mail client as an Exchange account. Connect with the following details:
Exchange Server: webmail.kualo.com
Use the email address and password that were assigned to the email account.
Please see this article for detailed setup instrictions in Outlook 2016.
On some older versions of Outlook, Exchange compatibility is not natively supported, and the Zimbra Outlook Connector will be required. The Zimbra Outlook Connector provides full exchange like compatibility.
Setting up the Outlook Connector is recommended for advanced users only. Please seek help from a qualified computer technician if you do not understand these instructions. Detailed

We recommend before proceeding that you back up your existing Outlook profile and emails as a precaution.
Once downloaded, run the installer and install the Outlook Connector, and then open the application. You will need the following details to configure Outlook and Import tools:
System Requirements: Windows running Outlook 2003/2007/2010 (Apple Mac Outlook 2011 is not supported)

Password: Your email password
If you do not use Outlook but still want to synchronise your contacts and calendar items, you can use CalDav and CardDav – open standards for synchronising Calendar and Contacts.
Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning provide email, contact and calendaring functionality. With the addition of the Zindus Plugin, contacts and calendar items can by synchronised with CalDav and CardDav. You will need the following details:
CardDAV Server Name: webmail.kualo.com:443
CalDAV Server Name: https://webmail.kualo.com/dav/Username/CalendarName (replace the Username and CalendarName with your actual username and the calendar name you wish to synchronise)
