How To Insert Custom HTML Code

You can also add custom code in a specific place on the page, using the HTML element. You can add any kind of content, but this feature can be particularly useful to embed 3rd party widgets to extend the functionality of ProSite, enhance its functionality and improve user engagement.

Widgets are small software components that perform specific functions and can be easily integrated into your website using the "Custom HTML" element in ProSite.

They can display social media feeds, weather updates, news articles, search bars, and much more.

Widgets not only add aesthetic appeal to your website but also provide practical tools that can help your audience navigate and interact with your content more easily. In this way, widgets can help make your website more dynamic and user-friendly.

The uses for the custom HTML element are limitless. Customers use them to:

Donation widgets for charities using Give Lively or DonorBox
Reservation widgets using OpenTable
One of the many widgets available from providers such as Elfsight or WidgetSquad or many more!

To add custom HTML:

1. Drag on an Advanced element in the position you'd like to embed the HTML.

2. Select HTML from the range of options.

3. With the HTML element selected, in the right side config area, click the Pencil icon to edit the contents.

By default, HTML content is disabled in the editor, but will be run on the published or previewed site. This is to ensure the scripts do not affect the developer interface. You may turn off this checkbox if you're confident it's safe to do so based on contents inserted, and the code will be rendered in the editor itself.
